Course Information

Description: The student will embark on the creative journey to make whimsical and unique wool blended felt animals that will sit on a platform made of cardboard, fabric and wooden wheels. A Bird, Swan, Sheep, White Rabbit/Bear adaptation, and Horse. Using simple shapes like circles, teardrops, rectangles, in wool blended felt, and floral the student will learn to assemble layers of components to arrive at a cute little animal for the pull toy. Small flowers and added embellishments will be discussed.

What will Students learn? The student will create a variety of animals from wool blended felt. Breaking down the body parts, using simple shapes, layering and assembly will demystify the process of assembling a cute animal. The use of readily available items like cardboard and wooden skewers will empower the student to look at everyday items in a new way. Experimentation is encouraged.
